Jesus said in John 4:23 that there will come a time when true worshippers will worship the Father in Spirit and Truth. He was speaking of an offering of adoration, which flows from our spirit - our innermost being. This worship is energized by the revelation of the Truth of the One whom we are worshipping and His significance in our lives. This kind of worship should extend far past the boundaries of one hour once a week into every moment of the lives so extravagantly redeemed by Him. We believe that our response to that extravagance should be in kind. At Cornerstone, we hold corporate worship services where worshippers gather to lift their voices and instruments in one accord in praise to Him. We celebrate Jesus. We humble ourselves in His presence and we express in many ways our debt of gratitude to the God who rescued us. Our music is designed to point the worshipper toward Jesus, not to entertain or collect accolades for us. Each member of our worship team shares this commitment. The comment that we cherish most from the congregation is not "Wow, music was great today" but rather "Wow, I met with God here today." Our prayer is that every participant would come away with the awe of an encounter with Him.
